This article was inspired by the work of @MaxkwTet, as presented in his X post (https://x.com/MaxkwTet/status/2039764346247537109). @MaxkwTet developed a topological quantum computing framework using Fibonacci anyon braiding realized through adjacency flips/involutions on defect anyons. He showed that exhaustive search over braid words naturally produces a dominant family of leakage-free entangling gates whose Cartan parameter is exactly π/5 - matching the intrinsic R-matrix phases and of Fibonacci anyons. This fivefold (pentagonal) rotational symmetry is identified by @MaxkwTet as the precise algebraic signature expected for Orch-OR’s Fibonacci-helical quantum channels within microtubule lattices, thereby linking abstract topological qubits directly to the pentagonal topology of microtubular tryptophan π-electron networks. The orchestrated objective reduction (Orch-OR) model posits that consciousness arises from gravitational self-energy-induced collapse of quantum superpositions in microtubule (MT) tubulin dimers and their tryptophan-based π-electron networks. Here we present the first exhaustive theoretical integration of Pollack’s exclusion-zone (EZ) water - structured, ~10% denser hexagonal layers formed in the MT lumen - with the pentagonal/Fibonacci-helical quantum topology of MT lattices. Geometric frustration at the 5-fold (MT) versus 6-fold (EZ) interface generates dynamic defects that amplify mass-density differences (Δρ ≈ 100 kg m⁻³) between superposed conformational states. Using both the approximate Newtonian formula and the full six-dimensional Diósi–Penrose integral evaluated via Monte-Carlo integration, we demonstrate quadratic amplification of the gravitational self-energy by factors of 1.01 - 6.77, depending on the effective EZ volume restructured per dimer (10 - 1410 nm³). This enhancement lowers the tubulin-number threshold for collapse at biologically relevant coherence times (~0.5 s) and directly couples quantum computation to gravity-mediated qualia selection. We relate these predictions to the 2021/2022 Gran Sasso underground germanium-detector null results which excluded the parameter-free Diósi–Penrose (DP) model and to the proposed NACE (Naphthalene Aromatic Collapse Experiment) using pentacene-doped naphthalene nanoparticles 19, arguing that EZ-frustrated MT systems offer a biologically shielded, mesoscopic testbed for OR. The framework resolves key decoherence critiques of Orch-OR while predicting testable signatures in THz spectroscopy, EZ phase transitions, and matter-wave interferometry. We further extend the implications to prebiotic chemistry, showing how EZ water in hydrophobic pockets of early-Earth aromatic molecules - facilitated by intense solar IR and UV flux - could have enabled primordial OR events, potentially bootstrapping non-computable molecular selection.
