Systematic review reveals that AI-enhanced BCI improves treatment for neurological diseases, suggesting advanced care possibilities.
Introduction:: Neurological diseases have a significant detrimental impact on patients' quality of life worldwide and impose a heavy burden on healthcare systems. Conventional treatment methods are frequently unable to fully restore normal neurological function. This review paper fo-cuses on the combination of BCI and AI for treating neurological diseases such as epilepsy, Parkin-son's disease, and spinal cord injuries. It discusses how AI benefits BCI in aspects like signal pro-cessing, decoding accuracy, tailored treatment, and real-time feedback. Moreover, it highlights chal-lenges such as technical limitations, data security risks, ethical issues, and the necessity of strict clin-ical validation. Method:: By summarizing current research and proposing future directions, this review aims to high-light the revolutionary impact of BCI-AI technology on the treatment of neurological diseases. Results: Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technology integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) has enhanced the treatment of neurological diseases. Discussion:: AI improves BCI performance through advanced signal processing, enhanced decoding accuracy, personalized treatment approaches, and real-time feedback systems. Conclusion:: The integration of these two technologies demonstrates the potential for accurate diag-nosis, customized treatments, and improved long-term prognosis.
