Abstract

In recent decades, interest in developing flexible statistical distributions has increased. In this article, we formulate a single acceptance sampling plan based on a truncated life test, assuming that lifetimes follow the three-parameter Benini distribution. We compute key characteristics of the plan, including the minimum sample size for a pre-specified acceptance number, given the consumer’s risk and the test termination time. We also present operating-characteristic (OC) values for the proposed plans and the minimum ratios of the actual mean life to the specified mean life at a given producer’s risk. The results are summarized and illustrated in tables.
