Structured PICO

Does the Monocyte Count/HDL Cholesterol Ratio predict Cardiovascular Disease in patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome?

P
Population
Patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome (OSAS)
I
Intervention
Monocyte Count/HDL Cholesterol Ratio (MHR)
O
Outcome
Cardiovascular Disease (CVD)

The Monocyte Count/HDL Cholesterol Ratio (MHR) may serve as a useful biomarker to predict cardiovascular disease in patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.

Abstract

The MHR is strongly associated with CVD and the severity of OSAS and might be used as a biomarker to predict CVD in patients with OSAS.
