Is Heart Rate Variability a helpful marker to evaluate nociceptive response in experimentally induced pain?
Heart rate variability may serve as a useful surrogate marker for evaluating nociceptive responses in experimental pain settings.
HRV appears to be a helpful marker to evaluate nociceptive response in experimentally induced pain. Future studies are also needed in clinical samples to understand better the interindividual changes of autonomic response due to pain stimuli.
