A community's quantity and quality of supply of tourism entrepreneurs significantly determines the magnitude and form of its touristscape because the tourism entrepreneur is the persona causa of tourism development. Unfortunately, the tourism literature lacks coverage of the tourism entrepreneur. This paper proposes a definition and typology of the tourism entrepreneur including a framework to increase the supply of indigenous tourism entrepreneurs.
