The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) is an international scientific and professional founded in 1954 to promote the science, and practical application of nuclear medicine. 16,000 members are physicians, technologists, and specializing in the research and practice of medicine. In addition to publishing journals, newsletters, books, the SNMMI also sponsors international and workshops designed to increase the competencies nuclear medicine practitioners and to promote advances in the science of nuclear medicine. The Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) is professional nonprofit medical association that facilitates worldwide between individuals pursuing and research excellence in nuclear medicine.
