A method of determining the degree of hydrolysis by potentiometric titration of polyacrylamide (PAA) with HCl and NaOH was developed. From the titration curves and the control of the degree of purity it is possible to calculate the level of hydrolysis and the quantity of pure acid contained in the PAA of a commercial product.
