This abstract introduces 3C3D VSP processing for fractured and caved carbonate reservoir in Tarim basin. We mainly applied a method of vector wavefield separation to process multi‐component offset VSP data, and built 3D velocity volume with a stable approach of travel time inversion. Finally, we accomplished 3D VSP P‐P and P‐SV waves imaging respectively using Kirchhoff migration method, and compared the migration profile of P‐P waves with a surface seismic profile. The migration profile of 3D VSP P‐P waves clearly shows seismic responses of caves. P‐P and P‐SV wavefields decomposed from 3D VSP will supply important information for studying on distribution of secondary storage space (eg. fracture and cave) of carbonate reservoir (4000–5800m) in Tarim basin.
