Key Points
This research aims to evaluate the impact of a group-based ACT intervention on cognitive emotion regulation and psychological flexibility in bipolar disorder patients.
Conducted group-based acceptance and commitment therapy sessions.
Measured cognitive emotion regulation and psychological flexibility before and after the intervention.
Used a clinical setting to assess the therapy's effectiveness.
ACT intervention led to improved cognitive emotion regulation among patients.
Psychological flexibility increased significantly following the ACT sessions.
Results suggest a synergistic effect when combined with treatment as usual.
Abstract
