Case reports highlight successful outcomes of surgical interventions for airway issues in children, indicating effective management strategies.
We describe two patients with acquired laryngotracheal stenosis secondary to thermal injury. Both required early tracheotomy to maintain long-term airway patency. Open laryngotracheal surgery was employed to reconstruct the laryngotracheal lumen. Both patients were decannulated without complication, and neither has suffered any permanent pulmonary dysfunction.
