Spectacles cleaning products may represent an under-recognised source of isothiazolinone exposure to facial skin. In a survey of 155 products, isothiazolinones were identified in 23.2% of those labelled, while ingredient labelling was frequently incomplete or absent. These findings highlight a potential risk for sensitisation and contact dermatitis, underscoring the need for improved legislation and clinician awareness.
