This scientific article examines the organization of the process of working with texts in primary grades based on modern pedagogical approaches, particularly through the stages of “knowledge–comprehension–application–analysis–evaluation.” The study analyzes the significance of these stages in developing students’ conscious reading, text comprehension, and independent thinking skills. The didactic tasks of each stage, as well as the methods, techniques, and practical ways of their implementation, are described. Furthermore, the pedagogical potential of innovative approaches and interactive methods that enhance the effectiveness of working with texts in primary education is revealed. The results of the research contribute to the development of students’ critical and creative thinking, improvement of reading literacy, and enhancement of the overall quality of education.
