An archaeological evaluation uncovered no significant finds in an area planned for housing construction, indicating prior disturbances led to minimal remains.
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken on land at the eastern end of Lanham Way, Littlemore, Oxford, as a condition of planning permission for the construction of ten houses. The work was carried out in accordance with The Chartered Institute for Archaeologists' Standards and Guidance for an archaeological field evaluation. A total of 70m of trial trench was excavated which revealed that despite the site being subject to significant previous disturbance, there was little evidence to suggest that any archaeological deposits had been truncated. No finds or features of an archaeological nature were encountered.
