Does cardiopulmonary failure in children with Enterovirus 71 infection and CNS involvement affect neurodevelopment and cognitive functioning?
Children with Enterovirus 71 infection and CNS involvement who develop cardiopulmonary failure are at risk for delayed neurodevelopment and reduced cognitive functioning.
Enterovirus 71 infection with CNS involvement and cardiopulmonary failure may be associated with neurologic sequelae, delayed neurodevelopment, and reduced cognitive functioning.
