This research presents formulas for counting ascent sequences based on their properties, highlighting new mathematical insights.
We present an explicit formula for the generating function of the number of ascent sequences of length n according to the half perimeter. As consequence, we present an explicit formula for the generating function of the number of ascent sequences of length n according to the length of the initial longest increasing subword.
