Analytical study evaluates friction surface wear in powder coatings at low temperatures, indicating performance implications.
Wear tests of a powder coating modified with corundum are conducted under low-temperature conditions. Data on the mass wear of the coating and the corresponding counterface made of ShKh15 steel are obtained, and the characteristics of the coating friction surface profile are studied. X-ray diffraction analysis is used to investigate the structural state of the friction surface before and after wear tests.
