The article considers changes in mechanical properties of metal semi-finished products during deformation caused by the transition from annealed texture to rolling texture. A relationship between texture parameters and mechanical properties is established, enabling application of online texture control for the purposes of controlling the rolling process in order to ensure the required quality. Texture control is shown to be additionally applicable to other techniques of continuous deformation of semi-finished products of arbitrary profiles and crystal structure.
