A case report demonstrates successful manual repositioning of acute postpartum uterine inversion, suggesting rapid identification is critical.
Postpartum uterine inversion is a rare obstetric emergency that could be life-threatening.This article presents a typical case of postpartum uterine inversion. Images are provided in this paper to visually demonstrate the clinical manifestations, aiming to assist in the rapid clinical recognition and management of such cases. A 35-year-old woman (gravida 2, para 1) was admitted to the hospital for full-term pregnancy. During the placental expulsion stage postpartum, acute uterine inversion accompanied by postpartum hemorrhage occurred. We promptly recognized the condition and successfully performed manual repositioning within 7 min. Early identification and timely reduction are the cornerstones of managing acute postpartum uterine inversion.
