Why the study?
To evaluate the relationship between serum Copeptin, NT-proBNP and major adverse cardiovascular events during short-term follow-up in patients with acute myocardial infarction.
Does central blood pressure correlate with peripheral blood pressure in healthy and hypertensive individuals?
Cross-Sectional (n=193)
No
Does central blood pressure correlate with peripheral blood pressure in healthy and hypertensive individuals?
Central blood pressure strongly correlates with peripheral blood pressure and may offer a different perspective on hypertension control rates, potentially guiding medication adjustments.

May guide closer post-MI surveillance; reinforces prognostic value of copeptin and NT-proBNP.

Huy et al. (2020) conducted a cross-sectional in Hypertension (n=193). Central blood pressure measurement (USCOM BP+) vs. Peripheral blood pressure measurement was evaluated on Correlation between central systolic blood pressure and peripheral systolic blood pressure (r = 0.86, p=<0.0001).
