We report 25 carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli strains isolated from pediatric gut samples in Shenzhen, China, including 24 isolates with NDM-5 and one isolate with NDM-1. Genome analysis aids understanding of resistance, virulence, and transmission, guiding infection control and therapies.
