This survey investigates agricultural fields to inform the planning of a new solar farm, highlighting key landscape features.
The walkover survey of 11 fields totalling an approximate 52ha, was conducted over two days 12 th & 13 th May 2020. The fields occupy three west/east blocks running along the northerly and sou therly slopes of a gentle ridge which drops easterly to Great House Farm . Investigation was visual, and a minimum sighting from each boundary and corner was viewed. Fields with recent planting were not ventured onto, the walkover survey restricted to the perimeters. Viewpoints were recorded using a 26MP Canon EOS 6D MK II digital camera with images saved as both RAW files and HD Jpegs. Where anomalies or features were noticed, these were photographed where informative, and ranging rods were included where practical. All the pictures are included w ith this report in digital format and they are itemised with direction and NGR coordinates in Appendix 1. This document is the report on a walkover survey of an agricultural landscape the results of which will inform the planning application for a proposed solar farm .
