Investigates role stress and its impact on work-family conflict among employees, suggesting implications for workplace dynamics.
This study has been undertaken by the investigator with a motive to identify the role stress andthe different sources of role stress as well as the impact of work-family conflict among theemployees working in the organizations. According to Armstrong et al. in (2015) [1], the rolestress is described as the tension and conflict which arises due to the roles which are undertakenby a person at any point of time. This has taken place due to a variety of contributing factorsworking behind that gives birth to the stress like huge changes in the structure of families, suddenand significant increase in the dual earning families, families with single parent, huge change inthe family priorities and orientation, increased participation of women at work, and despite of allthis, a huge desire of maintaining a work life balance ie., a balance between the organizationaland family roles and responsibilities. This study reveals that the one very prominent andnoticeable source of factors causing stress among the employees working in an organization isthe Role-Overload. The organizational employees are stressed intensively due to the inter roledistance and self role distance as well
