Biogenic chitosan anchored Cu 2 O/ZnO nanocomposite: unlocking synergy for drug delivery, antineoplastic action, and wound repair

MNManojna R. NayakRKRavindra R. KambleLBLokesh Bheemayya

Key Points

  • The aim is to evaluate the effectiveness of biogenic chitosan anchored Cu2O/ZnO nanocomposite for drug delivery and wound repair.
  • Green synthesis of Cu2O/ZnO nanocomposite using S. campanulata fluid.
  • Analysis of cisplatin release at 72 hours.
  • Assessment of cytotoxicity on A375 melanoma and fibroblast cells.
  • Achieved 94.88% cisplatin release within 72 hours.
  • Demonstrated selective toxicity towards A375 melanoma cells with minimal fibroblast damage.
  • Showed significant enhancement in wound healing.

Abstract

Green-synthesized CS-Cu 2 O/ZnO NCs using S. campanulata fluid (WCF) offer 94.88% cisplatin release at 72h. They show selective A375 melanoma toxicity, low fibroblast damage, and fast wound healing, proving ideal for targeted cancer therapy and repair.
