:- This paper presents the detailed hardware design and implementation of a microcontroller-based cycloconverter integrated with IoT technology for controlling the speed of a single-phase induction motor. The system utilizes Silicon Controlled Rectifiers (SCRs) arranged in a full-bridge configuration to convert f ixed-frequency AC input into variable-frequency AC output without an intermediate DC stage. An 8051 microcontroller is used to generate synchronized firing pulses using zero-cross detection, ensuring accurate switching operation. The hardware design includes a regulated power supply, driver and isolation circuits, and a relay-based control system. Additionally, an ESP32 module is i ntegrated to provide IoT-based remote monitoring and control through a wireless interface. The proposed system focuses on practical implementation, demonstrating reliable performance, safe operation, and effective speed control. The design is simple, cost-effective, and suitable for modern automation applications.
