We evaluated the quality of life in victims of sexual violence using the WHOQOL-BRIEF immediately and 6 months after the violence. The primary outcome was changes in the four domains of quality of life and overall perception of quality of life. A total of 60 women were included, and 17 completed the 6-month follow-up (loss of 71.7%). All perpetrators were male, and 48.3% were unknown. Sexual violence was accompanied of physical violence in 40% of the events. The quality of life of women exposed to sexual violence remained poor after 6 months of follow-up.
