Shows improved wound healing in diabetic mice using MoS2/CoSe2 nanocomposites, indicating potential for treating infections.
Diabetic wounds infected with drug-resistant bacteria pose a serious global health challenge and represent a severe threat to public health. Consequently, the development of efficient and safe antibacterial agents is of great importance. In this study, MoS₂/CoSe₂ nanomaterials having heterojunctions were synthesized for use as a nanozyme with enhanced antibacterial activity and wound-healing applications. The MoS₂/CoSe₂ NC was prepared via a hydrothermal method and characterized. It displayed remarkable antibacterial action, achieving 99.71% bactericidal efficiency against Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). In vivo experiments in diabetic mice demonstrated that MoS₂/CoSe₂ significantly accelerated wound closure in MRSA-infected wounds, exhibiting excellent biocompatibility with mammalian cell lines and strong tissue-repair potential.
