Randomized trial finds two derivations of the strong coupling constant in particle physics, indicating potential alignment with QCD.
We present two independent derivations of the strong coupling constant α_s from the Clausius-Mossotti framework (OE + W = 1) with zero freely adjustable parameters. Derivation 1 (transmission): α_s(E) = e^(−3/4) × (m_p/E)^(1/3) gives α_s(1 GeV) = 0.462, matching QCD to 1.6%. Derivation 2 (OE profile): 8.1% average across seven QCD energy scales. The QCD scale parameter is derived as Λ_QCD = m_p/(D+1) = 234.6 MeV. A barycenter mirror symmetry yields α_s = 1/√10 (4.2% match). The self-coupled interior field equation gives α_s = 0.474 (0.9% match). Running is reinterpreted as energy dilution with a testable prediction: smooth curve vs QCD kinks at quark thresholds.
