Explores thermo-mechanical impact response in laminated viscoelastic polymers, suggesting new modeling approaches.
Non-idealized laminated viscoelastic polymer composites are extensively applied in non-isothermal environments to reduce unwanted responses. To predict transient thermo-mechanical impact response of such structure, this work aims to establish new non-Fourier thermo-viscoelasticity model based on high-order non-singular fractional dual-phase-lag heat conduction law with Atangana-Baleanu and Tempered-Caputo definitions. The 1D multi-variable partial differential control equations are solved by Laplace transformation. Dimensionless numerical results reveal that higher-order phase-lag parameters of temperature gradient and heat flux, material constants ratios and non-idealized interfacial conditions significantly affect the thermal wave propagations and thermo-viscoelastic impact responses.
