Highlights A phase II trial evaluated 54 Gy in 18 fractions after radical prostatectomy. Moderately hypofractionated radiotherapy showed acceptable acute toxicity. Acute gastrointestinal toxicity was mostly grade 2 and transient. Three-year biochemical recurrence-free survival was 66%. Quality of life was largely maintained after treatment.
