The present study integrates seismic interpretation and petrophysical analysis to characterize the Aptian Abu Ballas reservoir within the Al Baraka Field. The seismic workflow involves the systematic picking of horizons and faults to generate comprehensive time, velocity, and depth structure maps, facilitating the identification of the reservoir's primary petrophysical features. Results indicate a complex subsurface structural regime dominated by two major normal faults systems-oriented NW-SE and NE-SW, which have produced distinct horst, graben, and half-graben geometries. Furthermore, numerous intra-basinal normal faults exhibit vertical displacements ranging from 48 to 210 ft in both the SE and NW directions, with dip angles transitioning from 18◦-48◦ in the lower sections to 62◦-78◦ in the upper portions. Petrophysical evaluation method which used for Al Baraka Field was conducted via well-log analysis, involving accurate data processing, lithological verification, and the determination of porosity through neutron-density cross plots. These plots reveal that the Abu Ballas reservoir is predominantly composed of sandstone interspersed with shaly layers and siltstone. Comparative petrophysical analysis indicates that while shale volumes increase at the Al Baraka 5 well (35%), they decrease at Al Baraka SE1(14%); conversely, effective porosity and net pay thickness decrease at Al Baraka 5(22% and 22ft.) but increase at Al Baraka SE1(25% and 56 ft.), suggesting superior reservoir quality in the latter. When integrated with seismic data, these findings provide critical insights into the subsurface architecture and the identification of prospective drilling locations.
