Explores gaps in modern physics affecting interstellar travel, suggesting new frameworks for understanding phenomena.
Modern physics (quantum mechanics, relativity, the Standard Model) is the most reliable tool of knowledge for a vast range of phenomena – from planetary motion to elementary particle behaviour. Yet it is incomplete. A theory of quantum gravity is missing; dark matter and dark energy remain unexplained. Moreover, modern physics offers no solution for crewed interstellar travel: g‑forces, enormous travel time, fuel requirements, relativistic effects and interstellar dust make such travel virtually impossible. If UFO observation reports are taken into account, their properties (instantaneous manoeuvres, absence of visible engines, hovering, absence of g‑forces for pilots) find no explanation within known physical laws. This does not imply that those reports are unreliable; it suggests that there may exist phenomena which modern physics is unable to explain. This paper proposes regarding modern physics as a special case – a simplified model applicable to Form 1 matter (inanimate). For biological (Form 2) and civilisational (Form 3) matter, different regularities may operate, not derivable from lower‑level physics. The Belik hypothesis (synchronous field, global atomic synchronisation, trajectory‑free movement) is one attempt to find such regularities. Its status: logically consistent, experimentally unconfirmed. Its value lies in pointing a direction where new physics may be found. “Ksenolog”, as a diagnostic tool for civilisations, should work independently of this hypothesis, but if the hypothesis is confirmed, it would become part of a transition to a more fundamental science.
