To ensure the quality of the gas carburizing process, it is necessary to control the furnace temperature field in order to maintain a set temperature and regulate it under external and parametric disturbances. This paper considers the possibility of improving the quality of control for the gas carburizing process in a shaft furnace through the synthesis of a distributed high-precision regulator. A mathematical model of the heat propagation process in a shaft furnace was developed. Based on this model, a distributed high-precision regulator was synthesized using the frequency-domain synthesis method. An analysis of the direct quality indicators of the closed-loop control system was carried out. The system ensures uniformity of the temperature field along the furnace height, allows for the setting of a desired temperature, and stably controls the furnace temperature field when external and parametric disturbances occur.
