The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 of India was introduced with the vision to revamp the educational ecosystem by emphasizing technology-driven learning, digital infrastructure, and online modes of education. These NEP 20020's push for online platforms, as integration, digital infrastructure, and equitable access to education technology. They analyze impacts on higher education, challenges like digital divides, and strategies for implementation. This paper critically examines the digital transformation strategies embedded in NEP 2020 for higher education, evaluates its implementation progress, identifies challenges and opportunities, and recommends future research and policy directions. The review draws on official policy documents, thematic analyses, and recent academic literature to provide a holistic understanding of NEP-aligned digital transformation.
