Acupressure is a non-pharmacological method based on applying pressure to key points on the body using the hands, fingers, or devices to relieve muscle tension and promote circulation. In the intensive care unit, it can be implemented by nurses as an evidence-based, low-cost intervention that does not require invasive procedures and contributes to symptom management. By applying pressure to the appropriate points targeting specific symptoms, acupressure may lead to improvements in pain, anxiety, and sleep quality
