ABSTRACT We report a Pd‐catalyzed domino Heck‐cyanation of alkene‐tethered carbamoyl chlorides with Zn(CN) 2 . This method provides cyano‐functionalized oxindoles in good to excellent yields. The strategy extends to cyanomethylated and thiocyanated oxindoles and demonstrates practical utility in the formal synthesis of bioactive molecules.
