Graduation project develops an AI meal planner, providing personalized nutrition management for users, enhancing health outcomes.
NutriPlan AI is a graduation project by Abdulrhman Mohamed Wael Sharabati from the Arab International University in Syria, built as a mobile app for both iPhone and Android that takes a user's personal health data — including age, weight, blood pressure, allergies, and dietary preferences — and uses Claude AI from Anthropic to automatically generate personalized daily meal plans that strictly follow the DASH diet, a clinically proven eating plan that lowers blood pressure by controlling sodium and balancing key nutrients, while also providing a full nutritional breakdown of each plan, a grocery list, push reminders, support for both Arabic and English, and a smart feedback system that learns from the user's ratings to continuously improve future meal suggestions, all backed by a Python and Flask backend, a MongoDB database, and the official USDA food database for accurate nutritional valuesThis work was conducted at Arab International University (AIU), Syria.
