Ignelater jaragua Johnson (Coleoptera: Elateridae), new species, from the Dominican Republic is described for the frst time. Tis is the sixth species of Ignelater Costa described from Hispaniola and differs from congeners by its relatively small size, black integument, pronotal sculpture, and aedeagal morphology. Images of aedeagi for each species from Hispaniola are provided to compare and aid identifications. A revised key to the species of the island and a checklist of all Ignelater are provided.
