Volunteering plays a big role in the social life of society and the country. The purpose of the study is to characterize the personality-oriented orientation of the volunteers. Methods. The scales of the questionnaire of indicators (altruistic, existential, hedonistic, status, communicative, family, cognitive, self-realization, altruism, egoism, process, result, work, freedom, power, receiving money) of the personality-oriented orientation of the volunteers to their activities and the characteristics of the value-semantic sphere of their personality were used. Results. It has been revealed that the indicators of the degree of expression of the personality-oriented orientation of volunteers to the activities they carry out are higher at high values of their personality need for respect, the need for self-expression, i.e. demonstrativeness, and in leadership, obtaining power over other people. The psychological determinants of the orientation of volunteers to volunteer activities, which determines their participation in the volunteer movement, are the features of their personal development, as well as certain traits of their personality.
