Virginia’s 2024–2026 biennial budget and subsequent adopted amendments included K–12 priorities related to its Direct Aid to schools, compensation supplements for instructional and support positions, expanded support for at-risk students, as well as additional revenues for higher education to increase access to the state’s public colleges and universities. Both P–12 schools and higher education institutions face fiscal uncertainty due to changes in education policy at the federal level.
