Empirical analysis shows higher neuropsychiatric stress in women with infertility, suggesting significant psychological implications.
The relevance of the study is due to the increase in the population coping with infertility, as well as the limited amount of scientific data on the psycho-emotional status of women with infertility of unclear etiology. The aim of the research is to study the psycho-emotional characteristics of women with infertility of unclear etiology. The article provides a theoretical overview of the psychological aspects of infertility. Were considered the psychoemotional characteristics of women with infertility of unclear etiology; the relationship between psychology practice and physiology in theory is considered; theories of psychophysiological mechanisms of the reproductive sphere by G. G. Filipova are identified. The empirical part of the article presents the results of a study of the severity of neuropsychiatric stress and asthenia in women with infertility of unknown etiology, as well as an analysis of their life history. The study involved 112 respondents aged 24 to 49 years: 30 women with infertility of unknown etiology, 51 women who have children and had no problems conceiving, 31 women who have children and previously had problems getting pregnant. The research methodology includes: a theoretical review of scientific and thematic literature and psychodiagnostic methods: the author's questionnaire; the methodology of "Assessment of neuropsychiatric stress"; questionnaire "Asthenic state Scale"; questionnaire "Zung Depression Self-Assessment Scale". The study revealed statistically significant differences in the level of neuropsychiatric stress and asthenia in the infertile group in comparison with fertile groups of women, where the average group indicators are higher in the infertile. In women of the infertile group, a positive statistically significant correlation was found in the level of neuropsychiatric stress and asthenia. The psychoemotional status of women with difficulties of unclear etiology during pregnancy is characterized by neuropsychiatric stress and asthenia, stress loads, fear of the unknown, anxiety for no reason, conflict of positive and negative attitudes related to children. The results obtained expand our understanding of the psycho-emotional status of women with infertility of unclear etiology and may have practical significance in the field of psychology and medicine.
