The recent development of medicine has had a great impact on many life matters that concern society in general and the family in particular. This includes what has appeared in recent years of methods for determining the sex of the fetus and its great impact and consequences on personal status issues, especially inheritance issues. On the other hand, the extent to which these medical methods are compatible with the provisions and principles of Islamic jurisprudence and law, although these methods have been followed for many centuries, they were primitive methods that are less developed than what is happening today. In addressing the research topics, we followed the inductive approach, which relies on collecting scientific material from contemporary books related to the topic, in addition to the comparative analytical approach, which relies on analyzing texts and weighing between statements after considering the evidence and discussions contained therein.I divided the research into an introduction, two chapters, and a conclusion.The first chapter: Choosing the sex of the fetus and the means and methods that help in choosing it, and it includes three demands.The second chapter: The ruling on choosing the sex of the fetus, and it includes three demands.The conclusion: It includes the most important results and recommendations
