The problem of compensation for damages resulting from armed conflicts: the (Ukrainian-Russian) conflict as an example

The balance of power during the Cold War period played a major role in enhancing the role of international organizations, especially the United Nations, by providing the best means to encourage countries to resolve their international disputes by peaceful means, by creating the atmosphere and means to find peaceful settlements to their disputes Or by resorting to the judicial bodies affiliated with these organizations to resolve these disputes. Which can be considered the international legal framework that must be resorted to in the event of an international conflict between two or more countries. Due to the hegemony and control that the major powers have today over the capabilities of the people, ignoring international laws and norms, and the optional status of security and peace on the hands of a demon, it is necessary for a state of indeterminacy to arise in the current international situation. • Research Methodology: In this research, we relied on the legal method, through which we will try to clarify the legal basis for compensation in public international law. We will also use the descriptive analytical method to analyze the legal texts that address compensation at the international level, to clarify the methods of obtaining it, in accordance with the texts of public international law.
