Shows successful management of aneurysms in undiagnosed Marfan syndrome, indicating the need for better screening.
A 57-year-old female presented with neck pain and bilateral subclavian artery aneurysms (SCAAs), leading to a late-stage Marfan Syndrome (MFS) diagnosis confirmed via FBN1 testing.Despite a history of mitral valve repair and pneumothorax, MFS remained unrecognized until this emergent presentation.Due to severe cardiomyopathy, the patient underwent successful staged endovascular repair using a "body-floss" radial-femoral technique to stabilize stent deployment. This case underscores the importance of screening for connective tissue disorders in patients with early-onset valvular disease and highlights that peripheral aneurysms can be the primary indicator of MFS in older adults.
