Investigates temperature measurement solutions in high-temperature composite materials, suggesting effective paint application.
Focusing on the temperature measurement challenges of the surface of high temperature composite materials in aero-engines, research on the testing methods of temperature indicating paint was conducted. The color-changing principle of the temperature indicating paint and the main considerations in the formulation design were analyzed. A brief description of the pre-treatment, coating process, formation mechanism, and adhesion mechanism of the coating film was provided. The influence of the heating-up procedure and the constant-temperature duration on the calibration results was investigated. The temperature distribution on the surface of the test piece was intuitively obtained by using isotherm lines annotations, design drawing annotations, and isotherm line extraction as auxiliary methods. The results indicate that temperature indicating paint can clearly display the temperature information of the surface of composite materials, and the test results are accurate and reliable.
