Case report finds BCOR-associated sarcoma in a young boy, indicating a rare renal malignancy requiring attention.
Extraskeletal BCL6 corepressor (BCOR)-associated sarcoma involving the kidney is exceedingly rare. This report presents the case of a 5-year-old boy who was admitted for abdominal pain, with MRI imaging highly suspicious of a malignant tumor. For staging, 18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose ( 18 F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) finding revealed a huge FDG-avid mass in the abdomen, which was confirmed histopathologically as BCOR-associated sarcoma.
