This article analyzes the system of images and the role of metaphors in the work of Arthur Rimbaud, as well as their artistic and aesthetic functions. During the study, the main images used in the poet's works, their semantic load and symbolic meanings are identified. The metaphorical expressions created through the new methods of imagery, synesthesia, color and emotional states characteristic of Rimbaud's poetics, are highlighted from a linguopoetic point of view.
