Review highlights feeding practices and health risks in cattle, suggesting implications for agriculture.
Introduction: This Cattle Review examines three open access papers. The first considers gastrointestinal nematodes in UK cattle and the biosecurity risks associated with trading cattle. The second is an invited review considering barriers to cow–calf contact dairy systems, and the third a graduate student literature review, written from a North American perspective, considering individual cow feeding of concentrates, perhaps proving that everything goes in cycles. It describes a total mixed ration as a traditional feeding system.
