Papillorenal syndrome (PRS) is a genetic disorder which affects the development of optic nerve and kidneys. Here, we discuss the case of a 5-year-old boy with chronic kidney disease who also had characteristic optic disc changes. PRS should be ruled out in patients with optic disc dysplasia with coexisting renal hypoplasia. This case report aims at creating an awareness on optic disc dysplasias among pediatric ophthalmologists, enabling early referral before systemic complications set in.
