Case analysis highlights effective multimodal imaging and treatment with steroids for resolution of overlap white dot syndrome symptoms.
A young lady presented with bilateral blurring of vision for 3 months, not associated with any other significant past or systemic history. A thorough evaluation was done using multimodal imaging (MMI), and a probable diagnosis of white dot syndrome (WDS) was made. After ruling out infectious causes, she was started on systemic steroids and immunosuppressants. At follow-up, she showed a complete resolution of symptoms and clinical findings. This case highlights the advantage of MMI in coming to a diagnosis and also in the follow-up of such atypical WDS cases, with overlapping features.
